Michele’s Story
Michele is the youngest granddaughter of Martin and Mary Bielat, who immigrated to America from Poland in the early 1900s. Michele’s mother, Dorothy, is the youngest of 12 children. Her father drowned when Dorothy was just five years old.
Michele’s father, Wallace Lee, is the eldest of four children. His mother, Clarissa, younger brother, Dean, and a sibling his mother was carrying in pregnancy, all perished in a tragic house fire when Wallace was a young boy. Only Wallace and his father Frank survived. Years later, Wallace welcomed his sister, Jean into his life.
The heartbreaking backgrounds of Michele’s parents led the couple to a profound life of faith, service to their church and community, while providing a source of constant love and support to their family. Michele is proud to have made their mission her own. She speaks from the heart to educate, motivate, and empower.
